Wrestling is a physically and mentally demanding sport. It is hard and is
not for everyone. Wrestling enhances overall athletic acumen, mental
preparedness, balance, strength, and discipline. Attainment of individual
and team goals is integral to the NCYW program. To be a good wrestler
requires a balance of strength, stamina, aggressiveness, athleticism,
technique, and experience. Join NCYW to broaden your athleticism,
make friends & have fun.

Cost: $105 per child. Family discount of $190 for 2 children ($95 each). In
addition, we will collect $28 per child for headgear. The headgear is yours to
keep. If you have headgear from previous seasons, you do not need to pay for
new headgear each year.
Team singlets will be provided for each child and will be returned at the end of
the season. Wrestling shoes are mandatory and can be purchased at any local
sporting goods store.
NCYW trains in folkstyle wrestling (high school style). This is a full contact sport
with conditioning, drilling, instruction, and live wrestling each practice night. Kids
are expected to participate fully each night and parents are encouraged to keep
abreast of their child's accomplishments throughout the season. Parent's of younger
or less attentive children, who require frequent attention during practice are
needed at practice to allow the coaching staff to effectively coach the entire group.
